The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem has submitted an application to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to increase the number of tables in their casino. The organisation has applied for 80 more tables to be added to their casino floor. The management of the casino believes that adding more tables will allow them to offer a more mixture of table games to Sands´s clients, including card games like blackjack or poker, roulette and craps. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Chairman suggested that permission is likely to be granted and Sands could be offering the games from July onwards. Robert DeSalvio, president of Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem defends the casino location as the most convenient for New Yorkers and New Jersey residents. For him the combination of amusement and restaurants together with the variety of gaming options, that the 80 extra tables will allow, will increase the casino´s status as an attractive entertainment destination.
